About us
Since 1980, Maternity Care Coalition has assisted more than 145,000 families throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, focusing particularly on neighborhoods with high rates of poverty, infant mortality, health disparities, and changing immigration patterns. We know a family’s needs change as they go through the pregnancy and their child’s first years and we offer a range of services and programs for every step along the way. Our Mission The mission of Maternity Care Coalition is to improve the health and well-being of pregnant women and parenting families, and enhance school readiness for children 0-3. Our Vision MCC envisions an equitable future where all families are healthy and connected, with all children thriving and ready to learn. - Each child is welcomed - Each person is nurtured and achieves their full potential - Parents and guardians are empowered to care for themselves and their children - Communities understand and act upon the imperative to provide systematic support - As a result, all families and individuals are healthy, connected and economically self-sufficient and all children thrive and are ready to learn.

We were thrilled to welcome Director Gavin and his team at Head Start to our Early Head Start (EHS) Center at our South Philadelphia location earlier today. Our leadership team showed them around the center and gave the team an overview of MCC and our longstanding relationship with EHS. Director Gavin even got to meet some of our amazing EHS children. Swipe through to see their big smiles!

Happy Juneteenth! Juneteenth marks the historical day of liberation for African-Americans. As we celebrate this legacy of freedom and heritage, we are reminded of our continued fight for black families to freely and safely grow and raise their families. How are you celebrating #juneetenth?
