Needless to say, I came into contact with many fine nurses... I am writing about one very special RN I met on my last visit to Maui Memorial, her name was Angela who cared for me on the 5th floor... What separates her from all the others is her caring and kind ways... She was thoughtful... and knew what to say at the right moments when I became depressed. Maui Health employees and community providers, along with their ʻohana, joined @hilandtrust this weekend to clear invasive species and water native trees being planted this hoʻoilo at Nuʻu refuge in Kaupō. This community service project was part of our quarterly Mālama ʻĀina series that included a presentation and in-person group activity. Mahalo to Scott Fisher and the @hilandtrust team for hosting this educational, keiki friendly event and sharing about your organization and ongoing ecological restoration efforts. ⁠ Our Mālama ‘Āina series aims to provide educational opportunities for participants to immerse themselves in the history, culture, and brilliance of Maui Nui and engage with our community through service.⁠

Become a Certified Nurse Aide in just five short weeks and earn while you learn! "How very deep my gratitude runs for this hospital and the beautiful, honorable souls that have chosen this work. Today I had a biopsy procedure which, by nature was uncomfortable and scary. The Maui Memorial team graciously held space for this patient, and I felt the web of community within this network as a connected and loving entity. Special Mahalo to Joseph the security guard at the front door with the fashionable clear glasses, he has a uniquely loving and light hearted aura which always lifts my spirits, his heart glow is radiant and pure and very contagious. Many many thanks. Special Mahalo to Jane in the radiology department, who performed some ultrasounds and held space for me during the biopsy procedure in such a cool way. She is intuitive and heart centered, completely balanced also with grounded, pragmatic energy... I am so grateful to her assistant as well who is a magnificent transparent soul, many mahalos for your truthful and bright beauty. Special thanks to the doctor who performed my biopsy as well. This man has so much kuleana and is walking with it so strongly. Thank you for being of service to me. Thank you for all you do for everyone every day. As we mark one year since the Maui wildfires, we pause and reflect on the profound impact this event had on our community. We were honored to be a part of the community outreach and recovery efforts, providing care to the west side community in the weeks following the fires.
