  • Savinelli 2024 Saint Nicholas 315 KS Rusticated Prince Briar Pipe, 6mm, New It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist. Each year, Savinelli releases limited-edition pipe around Christmas time. These are Savinelli’s Saint Nicholas pipes, aimed at celebrating and capturing the spirit of the season. For 2024, Savinelli’s Saint Nicholas features a rusticated burgundy finish, an amber-hued acrylic stem, and three alternating rings of gold and red. It’s a fittingly festive design, though I’d say that its distinctly old-world charm is enjoyable whatever the occasion. As with most Savinelli pipes today, this one is chambered for 6mm filters as standard, but will smoke just as well without one.   Details: Length: 6″ / 152.4mm Bowl Width: 0.77 / 19.55mm Bowl Depth: 1.15″ / 29.21mm Weight: 1.6oz / 46g 👉🏽👉🏽Pipe Link: https://nuel.ink/bt6roh #pipesmoking #pipes #tobaccopipe #pipesmoker #pipetobacco #tobacco #smokingpipe #briarpipe #briar #smoking #pipemaker #pipecollector #artisanpipes #mbsd

  • Savinelli Unica U63 KS Rusticated Bent Bulldog Briar Pipe, 6mm, New It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist. Savinelli’s Unica series marks the first time in a long while that the make has produced completely new shapes, along with novel finishes to complement them. As such, these pipes are a special release, with limited quantities available. This “U63” is Savinelli’s new interpretation of the bent bulldog, in an altogether different manner from their standard 673. It is a stout, wide design, reminiscent of the output of Savinelli’s pipe-making cousins in the Italian artisan scene. Exclusive to the Unica series, it is dressed in a light, burgundy rustication and paired with Savinelli’s own custom-made cobalt blue acrylic stems. Savinelli’s Unica pipes are chambered for 6mm filters as standard, such as Savineli’s own balsa filters, but will smoke just as well without one, if the owner prefers.   Details: Length: 5.5″ / 139.7mm Bowl Width: 0.79 / 20.06mm Bowl Depth: 1.27″ / 32.25mm Weight: 2.1oz / 60g 👉🏽👉🏽Pipe Link: https://nuel.ink/WN4afC #pipesmoking #pipes #tobaccopipe #pipesmoker #pipetobacco #tobacco #smokingpipe #briarpipe #briar #smoking #pipemaker #pipecollector #artisanpipes #mbsd

  • Savinelli Unica U36 Rusticated Poker Briar Pipe, 6mm, New It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. This “U36” is Savinelli’s new interpretation of the poker, which is quite different to their standard 310. It is a muscular design, with a close resemblance to the traditional tankard, but with more heft. • Ferndown Bark 2 Star Bent Dublin Estate Briar Pipe, English Estates Ferndown pipes were made by the legendary British pipe-maker Leslie ‘Les’ John Wood, along with his wife Dolly. Both Les and Dolly previously worked for Dunhill, where Les developed his skills and reputation as Britain’s premier pipe silversmith, as well as one of its premier pipe carvers. Ferndown pipes are highly coveted by pipe-smokers due to their superlative craftsman(and woman!)ship, whose bowls are oil-cured and which typically feature beautiful silverwork. Sadly, Les and Dolly retired from pipe-making in 2016, making Ferndown pipes rather scarce – especially given how difficult it is to get their owners to part with them. This is a very different Ferndown than I’m used to, and I collect them. Its one of the few pipes from Les and Dolly that looks something like a “freehand” pipe, rather than their more popularly known renditions of traditional English and French shapes. On the other hand, it’s less like a Danish freehand than the modern French variations, such as those of Pierre Morel, that I am told are often called “fleur” shapes, that being the French for “flower.” I’ve categorized it as a Dublin for simplicity’s sake. It’s certainly a beautiful pipe, no matter what you call it, with Ferndown’s signature heft, along with one of Les’s hand-turned silver collars. The condition is great. Very minor inner rim darkening.   Details: Length: 6.5″ / 165.1mm Bowl Width: 0.83 / 21.08mm Bowl Depth: 1.73″ / 43.94mm Weight: 2.1oz / 62g 👉🏽👉🏽Pipe Link: https://nuel.ink/r0RyZy #pipesmoking #pipes #tobaccopipe #pipesmoker #pipetobacco #tobacco #smokingpipe #briarpipe #briar #smoking #pipemaker #pipecollector #artisanpipes #mbsd

As such, these pipes are a special release, with limited quantities available. This “U61” is Savinelli’s new interpretation of the bent billiard, which deviates sharply from their standard 602 and 606 shapes. I’d call this one a stack billiard, actually, as it features a distinctly tall bowl with a narrow chamber – one ideal for flake cuts, though nonetheless well suited to just about any blend. Exclusive to the Unica series, it is dressed in a light, burgundy rustication and paired with Savinelli’s own custom-made cobalt blue acrylic stems.
