Our annual Employee Appreciation Week kicked off Monday with members of our management and executive management teams getting dunked for a good cause. Employees could pay for their chance to dunk the supervisor or executive team member of their choice. In total, we raised $1,000 to fund charitable organizations within our local communities.

We partnered with Fastenal to host a safety expo at our facility this week. Various vendors offered information on the importance of PPE, different types of PPE, how to wear PPE correctly and how to perform PPE inspections to ensure its safe use, as well as general information on ladder safety, fall protection, abrasive wheel safety and heat stress. Safety is a core value at McLanahan, and the safety expo offered a hands-on way for employees to learn more about safe work practices to ensure a safe working environment.
