After 31 years at McShane, Senior Superintendent Dave Dolgner is hanging up his hard hat and beginning a much-deserved retirement! Dave joined our Chicago team in 1993 as a carpenter foreman and was quickly promoted to Superintendent. Since then, he has overseen more than 20 projects in the multi-family, industrial, commercial, institutional, and health & fitness sectors. He has served as a mentor to many and is known for his warm smile, fun-loving personality, and willingness to help out wherever he's needed.  Thank you, Dave, for your outstanding commitment to our team! 40 YEARS & BUILDING: McShane Memories In the summer of 2000, recent college graduate Mathew Dougherty, P.E. showed up to the company picnic and just so happened to be matching with Jim McShane himself! Little did either of them know when they posed for this photo that 20 years down the road Mat would become President of McShane. Located in Greenville, South Carolina, Ellison Eastside will integrate 262 apartment units across five four-story buildings. Ten of the units will be live/work spaces. Residents will have access to more than 8,000 square feet of amenity space including a clubhouse with a business lounge and fitness center, a courtyard with an outdoor pool and amenity deck, and a maintenance building with a car wash and a pet wash. The concrete slab for Building 3000 has been poured and the masonry elevator shaft is constructed. Building 4000's foundation walls have been poured, waterproofed, and backfilled. The concrete slab for Building 5000 has been poured and under-slab plumbing is underway at Buildings 1000 and 2000 in preparation for concrete pours in the coming weeks. Additionally, the project mock-up wall has been built. Continuing on with our #InternSpotlight we have Graham Pierce, a junior construction engineering major at Marquette University. Graham is a project management intern in our Chicago office working on a build-to-suit industrial project in Wisconsin. He likes working for McShane because of the lively work environment, his coworkers, and the opportunities to see both the project management and field sides of construction. This summer, he is excited to watch his project come to life and gain hands-on experience. In his free time, he likes to play golf, spend time with his two labs, Casey and Rue, and watch his favorite TV show, Breaking Bad. At Marquette, he is on the rugby team and is a member of The Builders Coalition. A fun fact about Graham is that he has been to the Great Pyramids. We are pleased to announce promotions at our Southeastern Regional Office. Scott Hoppa was promoted from Senior Vice President & Regional Manager to Executive Vice President of Operations and will oversee McShane’s operations nationally. Dave Meadows was promoted to Vice President & Regional Manager and will assume oversight of the Southeastern Regional Office. Additionally, Brian Wood was promoted to Vice President SE Operations and Brandon Yates was promoted to Vice President. #MCCSoutheast #ConstructionNews
