⭐ MC-Zambia’s new initiative - ART Block Supports 13 villages in Chanyanya Our Affiliate, MC-Zambia welcomed representatives of AIDS Healthcare Foundation Zambia to see the newest initiative-  Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) Block, a building where HIV+ people receive medicines and where other HIV/AIDS-related services will be conducted. The ART Block was constructed by MC-Zambia with the support of AHF, and it only requires the sewer system to be fully complete and handed over to Chanyanya Rural Health Center. This initiative strengthens privacy protections for people living with HIV and improves care and support for those suffering from stigma and discrimination. When fully operational, it will serve over 1,200 people on Antiretroviral therapy (treatment for people living with HIV), and provide HIV/AIDS testing and other clinical services to 17,000 people in 13 villages of the Chanyanya community and other surrounding communities. #MCZambia #HIVAIDS #Healthcare #CommunityHealth #Zambia

Recently, our affiliate, MC-Tanzania participated in the Healthcare Excellence Symposium 2024, held at the prestigious Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC) in Dar es Salaam, under the theme “Advancing Healthcare Through Leadership, Diplomacy, and Collaboration.” Kambarage Kinemo Nyamhanga, MC-Tanzania Program Coordinator was a panelist in the Emerging Leaders session, where he shared MC-Tanzania’s pioneering work in Preventative healthcare through Leadership, highlighting key initiatives such as the Community Health Fellowship, Dental Therapist Outreach Training, and Oral Health Awareness Campaigns. Kambarage notes “This platform allowed us also to demonstrate the leadership approach in driving innovative healthcare solutions, emphasizing the importance of empowering emerging leaders to catalyze transformative change. This was more than just an event; it was a powerful affirmation of the MC-Tanzania’s role as a key player in the healthcare landscape of Tanzania.” Organized by Adventure in Health, Education, and Agricultural Development, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, and Muhimbili University of Health & Allied Sciences, the symposium gathered top-tier experts in healthcare, leadership, diplomacy, and governance. #MCWGlobal #MCTanzania #Healthcare

I'VE SUCCESSFULLY GRADUATED!!!🎊🎓 Around this time last year, I embarked on my journey as a mentee for the 2023 MCW Global Young Leaders Fellowship program. A year long program, with life long impact. Today was our official graduation from the program and as I sat down to reflect on my journey, I couldn't help but notice how I have seen myself grow and expand my horizons of what I believe I can do: 🔹From spending almost 2 years harboring an amazing project idea 💡 and waiting for the "right time" to implement it... to not only finally launching the project, but also a nonprofit organization 💥. 🔹 From participating as a mentee... to being selected as a mentor for the upcoming cohort (even before I graduated)🥹🙌🏽. 🔹From struggling with social anxiety and public speaking... to seeing me put myself out there to share my story, inspire other young leaders, and make meaningful connections with amazing people from every corner of the world 🌎. These are definitely just the few among many of the beautiful highlights throughout this journey and I cannot express how proud I am of the growth I've experienced so far. I am truly eager to see what lies ahead for me 😃 Thank you to MCW Global for believing in me and my abilities, and giving me a platform to nurture and hone my leadership skills 🙏🏽💚💙.
