Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital partnered with Houston Christian University (HCU) to host a four-day summer camp to provide high school students from the surrounding community and HCU nursing students a hands-on experience and inside look into health care careers including nursing, patient care technician and non-patient facing roles. Memorial Hermann Health System has made an investment in Ready, Set, Food that will further its commitment to educate and equip families with the tools necessary to give their babies the best chance at living a life free of food allergies. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), an estimated 8% of children in the United States have some type of food allergy. Amanda Hammel, senior vice president and chief information officer for Memorial Hermann Health System, has again been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s list of ‘CIOs to Know’ for 2024. Jason Glover has been appointed CEO of Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center Adult Services. He brings more than a decade of health care and management experience. After joining Memorial Hermann in 2013 as an administrative fellow, Glover advanced to leadership roles at Memorial Hermann Greater Heights, Memorial Hermann Sugar Land and Memorial Hermann The Woodlands. Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital's latest expansion project will add 347,000 square feet of new and renovated service areas to the location to meet the health needs of the growing community.
