There will be Tai Chi in Rehoboth, refreshments, t-shirts for adults, and prize drawings at both locations. Sign up today to register, start a team, and/or to donate. Last week, MHA held a professional development day at the Community Service Building in #WilmingtonDelaware. A number of our staff signed up to receive CPR and First Aid training from My Sister's Keeper (Valeria Muhammad CRNP and Kisha Causey), a practice based in #NewarkDelaware. Mental Health Association in Delaware would like to thank Andrew Shearer and his family for partnering with us once again for a very successful 7th Annual One Mile An Hour event on June 14-15, 2024. About 45 high school and college students registered to spend the night in their tents at Appoquinimink High School in #MiddletownDE to walk/run one mile at the top of every hour for 24 hours straight. Lots of other drop-in runners came in throughout the event to walk or run a mile and generate awareness for MHA's suicide prevention initiatives. People also participated virtually at home. The results? - A total of 901 miles were clocked in during the 24-hour period. - Approximately $6,000 was raised for suicide prevention by the participants WOW.
