Being an effective mentor is about more than just sharing knowledge. Here are five tips to help you excel in your mentoring role: 💡 Be an accountability partner. Do not do the work for them, help guide them along their journey. 💡 Be proactive when building a relationship with your mentee. 💡 Make it about your mentee, not you. Recognize your mentee's strengths and help them continue to build on them. 💡 Take your role seriously and do a lot of listening. Ask you mentees questions to help them navigate through their environment. 💡 Seek to understand your mentee on a deeper level. Take time to learn your mentee's stories, experiences, and beliefs to develop an impactful relationship.
