Estrogen therapy can work wonders for body, mind, and mood when someone is in menopause. But that doesn’t mean it's right for EVERY woman in menopause, as Midi Medical Advisor Lauren Streicher MD explains. Our article reviews the benefits and side effects of estrogen patches, and shares an important takeaway: Expert, personalized care is critical to women not only feeling their best, but getting treatment that is best for them. https://lnkd.in/eTac3A6H #estrogen #HRT #menopausemanagement #midihealth

Employers: You don’t have to figure out how to support working women in menopause on your own. <Pause for collective sigh of relief> But it is high time to phone a friend—or, in this case, check out The Menopause Society's new initiative: Making Menopause Work (https://lnkd.in/e8d_fibD). It aims to help employers better understand the costs associated with ignoring menopause (note: they’re 💰💰💰 ) and what you can do to effect change that helps both your employees and bottom line. One key recommendation? Provide expert, affordable menopause care. If you’re considering a menopause solution, we’re always ready to talk about how Midi can make a meaningful difference. Regardless, we challenge you to think about what else you can do to create a more supportive environment for the women in menopause in your workforce. Because they desperately need it. What does your organization do? Share some inspiration in the comments. #makingmenopausework #menopause #menopausecare #menopauseintheworkplace #midihealth

Women are challenging the status quo, redefining the future, and taking the challenges of tomorrow head-on. We are still in awe of the energy in the room at this week's Forbes Power Women's Summit and thrilled Midi's CEO and founder Joanna Strober could add her voice to the conversation about equitable healthcare for women. #PowerWomensSummit

According to a new study, less than 2% of women 40 or older use hormone replacement therapy (HRT) despite it being the most effective treatment for relieving a host of menopause symptoms. This is even after years of substantial evidence supporting HRT’s effectiveness and safety; even after medical guidelines included it as first-line therapy for hot flashes and night sweats. When you consider that HRT is appropriate for most women who could benefit from it, as explained by Midi's CEO and founder, Joanna Strober, and Chief Medical Officer, Kathleen Jordan, MD, it becomes clear why access to expert menopause clinicians is crucial for helping women make informed decisions about their care.

📣 Women need more access to effective treatments—not less. 📣 But a new Drug Enforcement Agency proposal threatens to limit the ability to prescribe certain treatments via telemedicine. This means patients—some who might have no other way of getting a prescription—may go without optimal care. Midi started a petition urging the DEA to extend prescribing flexibilities. Join us in advocating furiously to protect women’s access to the full range of treatments that can help them feel their best. ✍ here and spread the word: https://lnkd.in/e4EVW-8d
