  • Andrea, a Quality Assurance Coordinator, joined MTN as a temp but quickly found a permanent home here. As a bone graft recipient, she’s passionate about organ donation and helping support healthy tissue donation every day. 💜 💚 When she’s not at work, Andrea stays busy with her kids, their soccer games, and the occasional Hobby Lobby spree. • Through the incredible generosity of donor heroes and their families, the gift of life continues in our communities. In August, 126 lifesaving gifts from 41 donor heroes were given to people waiting for an organ transplant. We are grateful to the donors and families who said “yes” to donation, and to our hospital partners and MTN staff who are dedicated to the mission of saving and enhancing lives. #GiveHopeShareLife

  • August marks National Multiethnic Donor Awareness Month, and at Midwest Transplant Network, we’re proud to highlight the stories of those who make a difference every day. Meet Ashley Woodin, a Laboratory Support Coordinator who joined MTN in 2016. Ashley plays a crucial role in supporting the transplant process and advocating for patients, all while fostering trust and understanding in the communities we serve. As a Black woman in healthcare, she’s passionate about breaking down barriers and encouraging more diverse participation in organ donation. Ashley’s perspective on the critical need for organ donations, the ethical challenges involved, and the deep emotional impact on families and healthcare professionals alike makes her a vital voice in our mission to save lives. #NMDAM #GiveHopeShareLife

A rainy day at the fair is made better with colleagues you admire. Thanks Lori Kramer Clark for a fun day sharing the Midwest Transplant Network and Donate Life message today (and for indulging in the best new fair dessert). Shoutout to the wonderful PEO in Blue Springs who welcomed me and our message after a little caught in the rain hair action as well! What a great day of community engagement!
