“The greatest illusion about communications is it has been accomplished!”
About us
Milagro Media Strategies is a strategic communications firm specializing in public relations, public affairs, reputation management and Latino marketing and community outreach. The Milagro Media Strategies team is comprised of media professionals who bring more than 65 years of combined news media, crisis communications, issues management, government relations, advocacy, coalition building, media skills training and ethnic and social market outreach to address client needs. We think globally but act locally. Forged within some of the world’s largest public relations firms and national television networks, our partners bring “big agency" know-how, strategies and approaches to the table when representing our clients’ interests. But our experience and knowledge does not come with a big agency mentality or price tag. We are attuned to matching client goals with budgets appropriately balanced in today's challenging economic times.

I was deeply saddened to hear of former Los Angeles Councilmember Richard Alatorre’s passing. I want to express my heartfelt condolences to his wife, Angie, his sons, and the entire family during this difficult time. Richard was our community's iconic leader and a force for change. His unwavering commitment to justice, equity, and opportunity set a powerful example for everyone with the privilege of knowing or working alongside him. His leadership in the California State Assembly and the Los Angeles City Council reshaped the political landscape for Latinos in California, ensuring that our community received the representation it so richly deserved. Richard's tenure in the California State Assembly and on the Los Angeles City Council was marked by an unwavering commitment to justice, equity, and opportunity. His leadership in the 1981 legislative reapportionment was a turning point for Latino political power in California, ensuring our community would finally have the representation it deserves. Richard's time on the City Council was marked by his pioneering efforts to champion diversity and inclusion. He dedicated his life to public service at a time when few Latinos held public office, becoming a beacon of hope and progress for many who had been marginalized. His legacy, including the creation of L.A.’s mass transit system and his push for diversity within our police departments, will continue to shape the future. He also served on the Los Angeles Regional Transportation Commission, which later evolved into the current county Metropolitan Transportation Authority or Metro. He was the first MTA chairman, leading the charge for creating the Metro Gold Line and its extension into East Los Angeles. Richard's dedication to public service, when few Latinos held public office, gave a voice to those who had long been ignored in halls of power. His efforts to promote the participation of people of color and women in all levels of public office and Los Angeles city government were groundbreaking. He has helped create L.A.’s mass transit and bus transportation system and pushed police departments to diversify their upper ranks, creating a more inclusive society. Despite being in opposing political camps, with me working for LA County Supervisor Gloria Molina, Richard and I always maintained a deep mutual respect and friendship. He was always there for me, even in my private sector life, offering help and guidance when needed. His support meant the world to me, and I will forever cherish the memories of the times we shared. My thoughts and prayers are with his Angie, his sons, and their families. Richard’s legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched and be deeply missed by all who knew him. #Hispanics #Latinos #Latinoleaders #Hispanos

Tell me something I didn't already know. Latino voters aren’t all in for Biden. They’re not sure about Harris, either. https://lnkd.in/gudiDksz #Hispanics #Latinos #elections #elections2024 #Politics #Latinovote
