“We wanted a machine that we could program very easily and that’s why we chose a Milltronics machine.” – John Phillips, Toolmaker at Solar Industries, Inc. Window manufacturer Solar Industries started out using manual machines to produce its wide range of customized products. But when they grew to the point where they were making 1,400 windows and 200 – 300 skylight per day, they needed a more efficient and flexible process. First off, forgive me for the poor video quality! But the information is valuable! I've been bragging on Milltronics for many reasons, the service and quality are amazing. They have stood behind their machines and behind their customers! We have "currently" 3 Milltronics milling machines. The VM4020, VM2515, and the most recent VM3018IL. I would strongly suggest going the IL series for the inline spindle, but you honestly can't go wrong with any of their mills. Their conversational programming is hands down the most user friendly of any I've used!!! In the video below I show a simple process for Milltronics, it's moving a tool, or multiple blocks from one place to another within the program. This is helpful when you write a program and realize you'd like to move it in the priority of order within the program. It's a simple as curser to the start of the block you want to move, press"F1" then you move to the last line or block you want to move and hit "F2". Once the block or blocks are highlighted you then curser to the block where you want to move it and hit "move" DONE!! I will be posting more videos soon! Give the guys at Milltronics a call, you will be glad you did!! Ryan Delahanty, Milltronics, Bill Miracco

“The flexibility in these machining centers is a game changer for us. Conversational programming is key to keep us up and running, especially on second and third shift when we do not have a design team in-house.” – Brandon Shedal, training coordinator at Manitowoc Tool & Manufacturing For Manitowoc Tool and Manufacturing, LLC, a key competitive advantage is being able to quickly adapt to unpredictable demands. They maintain that flexibility through a team of 25 journeymen tool & die makers and a shop floor full of MIlltronics machines. This Alabama customer explained that they had some really long parts that were coming in. The problem was that these parts were so long, they would not fit in most conventional fully enclosed Vertical Machining Centers. They would have to pay big $$ for a large machine that would take up too much floor space for their shop. Even then, these parts would be very difficult to load. We discussed the Milltronics TRM 30. With 60” in x and 30” in y, the machine had plenty of travel for the new work. The tool changer also helped speed up the job and reduce labor. The best part is that this machine has an open bed which allows the long parts to stick way out past the table without interfering with any sheet metal. The TRM is a great solution for a tool room or job shop running long parts. #Cardinal Machinery
