About us

We believe in making things better, easier, and more inclusive when it comes to accessing mental health and personal growth resources. We believe in being a VOICE for those who remain silent, a safe harbor for those seeking shelter, and a leader in public safety and mental and emotional health through research, thoughtful programs, resources, peer support, leadership training, resilience training, and a Public Safety focused Employee Assistance program. Nobody should suffer alone, and neither should you! We advocate for a better industry, better access to treatment, community connection, and research data to help get us there, always being mindful of the frontline providers who go out daily and make an impact on their communities. Welcome to Mind The Frontline Mind the Frontline is a 501(c)(3) non-profit supporting all Frontline workers' mental health and well-being. All donations are tax-deductible and go to creating resources that support our brothers and sisters when they need it the most. As diverse as our industry is, we should have a name inclusive of all the trades of first responders. Founder: Chris Smetana

🚨 Hey First Responders! 🚨 Let's talk candidly about sobriety and what it can look like for those of us in the frontline community who might be struggling with substance abuse. 💬 Sobriety isn’t just about abstaining from alcohol or drugs—it’s about reclaiming your life and rediscovering who you are without substances. It’s a journey of resilience, strength, and incredible personal growth. Here’s what sobriety can look like among First Responders: 🌟 Renewed Clarity: Clearer thinking and decision-making, crucial for our demanding roles. 💪 Improved Health: Better physical health, more energy, and overall well-being. 🧘 Emotional Stability: Greater emotional balance, reduced anxiety, and improved mood. 👥 Stronger Connections: Deeper, more meaningful relationships with family, friends, and colleagues. 🔄 Life Reclaimed: More time and energy to pursue passions, hobbies, and personal goals. It’s important to know that seeking help and support is a sign of strength, not weakness. You don’t have to go through this alone—there are resources and communities ready to support you every step of the way. If you’re struggling, consider reaching out to peer support groups, counselors, or addiction specialists who understand the unique challenges we face as First Responders. Sobriety is a journey, and every step forward, no matter how small, is a victory worth celebrating. Remember, you are not alone, and there is always hope. Let’s support each other in finding strength, hope, and a brighter, healthier future.
