The Legal Counsel Division of the State Court Administrator’s Office, (SCAO), is searching for a Director. This is highly responsible professional, administrative, and managerial work directing the Legal Counsel Division of the Minnesota Judicial Branch. Work involves directing and participating in the provision of professional legal counsel and legal support services to the entire judicial branch, including the State Court Administrator’s Office, district offices and court locations, to carry out the strategic initiatives of the Judicial Branch. This role also manages a medium-sized group of licensed attorneys and administrative support staff providing legal research, analysis, recommendations, and oversight in a variety of specialized areas of law and court administration. The position serves as a member of the SCAO senior management team and reports to the State Court Administrator, who reviews work based on conferences, reports, and results achieved.
