"The stress of the admission process — particularly, the time and money spent with no guarantee of success — is no longer applicable. Students know the effort of applying will be worth it." The Direct Admissions Minnesota program was recently highlighted in National Association for College Admission Counseling: The Journal of College Admissions, outlining how students who are participating in the program have higher FAFSA filing and college enrollment rates compared to non-participants. Direct Admissions also boosts confidence in high school seniors, allowing them to apply for free to multiple schools, knowing that they are guaranteed acceptance to the colleges and universities on their personalized lists. OHE awarded $950,000 in Early Childhood and Family Education (ECFE) Teacher Shortage Grants to three postsecondary institutions: Minnesota State University Moorhead, University of Minnesota and University of St. Thomas. The grant program will support pathways for many individuals, particularly future educators from rural communities and students of color, in completing programs that lead to ECFE-related teacher licenses in Minnesota. Funds will provide tuition relief in student scholarships, targeted recruitment for students, as well as other support services. The ECFE Teacher Shortage Grant program is a one-time grant opportunity that was established by the 2023 Minnesota Legislature. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dds_ktqE

The Office of Higher Education is seeking individuals to fill two seats on the Spinal Cord Injury and Traumatic Brain Injury (SCI-TBI) Advisory Council.
