Minutes count! ⏲ Mission Hospital Trauma team RNs, Tracey and Andie, recently made a visit to donate 100 Stop the Bleed kits to IC Imagine Public Charter School-Asheville, NC on behalf of Mission Health. The Mission team has educated nearly 10,000 community members and donated nearly 3,000 kits throughout Buncombe County. By learning how to #StopTheBleed, you gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control bleeding. Learning the three quick techniques will empower you to assist in an emergency and potentially save a life. Last month, Mission Health was proud to award scholarships to 23 students from across WNC at a ceremony named in honor of Kesha Young, a 22-year-old woman who was born with mental and physical disabilities and underwent multiple surgeries at Mission Hospital.
