So great to join a crowd this morning over Project CU, Inc., a leading provider of Extended Employment Services for people with disabilities and other barriers - one of many Sheltered Workshops for Adults with Disabilities around the state of Missouri. Project CU, Inc. has a long and rich history of serving the St. Louis community, and a proud member of the Missouri Association of Manufacturers. Today they celebrated the completion of a mural project, one of 28 being completed around St. Louis. The final touch was to invite the employees to put their hand prints on the mural. A perfect contribution to the mural, as the “hand” serves as a symbol of the incredible Team there, providing an opportunity to achieve their full potential and enhance their quality of life. They provide incredible services in the manufacturing space. Another reason the hand prints on the mural is fitting - in Late Latin, the word manufactus means, ‘made by hand’. Plant Tour: 244 Company: Companion Baking Co. Location: St. Louis, MO Yesterday we had the privilege to tour what we can only imagine is one of the best smelling manufacturing facilities in the state, Companion Baking Company. We knew we were in for a treat the moment we walked through their doors and saw the racks of bread, croissants, cookies, pastries and more. New technology combined with traditional, hands-on baking techniques would make Grandma proud. But what’s really impressive is their leader, Josh Allen’s, visionary leadership and empowerment of his team to try new ideas and think outside the breadrack. And this was displayed through their sustainability initiatives and achievements in the past few years. Like one of their recipes - a small dash of awareness, a pinch of intentional actions, a sprinkle of consistent communication, blended with buy in from the entire team leads to impactful results, that leaves a good taste in your mouth, too. Loved witnessing Suman Shekar’s and Shannon Bone’s passion for sustainability, celebrating each win during their journey! Keep it up, ladies! Thank you for hosting us, Keith DeBold and Brittni Walters from Cambridge Air Solutions. Now… to find a glass of milk to wash down all the sweetness we just experienced. #mamstrong #manufacturing #planttour Michael Eaton Jeff Cumley, MA Jeff Wright Matheson Eaton Andrew LeGrand, MBA Doug Eisenhart Kevin Thompson Travis Weathermon, SHRM-SCP, SPHR Gina Riekhof Nathan Walts Stacy Giltner Hilary Nicholson Erick Hall Kate Sanders Tom Jensen, SHRM-CP Alan Fay Chris Oravec Mike Kehoe

Supporting and providing a voice for Missouri Manufacturers.
I celebrated when my twin brother rang "the bell" after completing his final chemo treatment. And witnessed how that ringing resonates a celebration and note of hope for a brighter tomorrow. At a recent Tour at one of our Members a couple of weeks ago, we noticed a ship bell in their reception area. (Industrial Control Systems - awesome people there!) Asked why it was there, they proudly stated - "We celebrate every order we get by ringing the bell." This stood out to the Missouri Association of Manufacturers Team there on this tour, because we too have a bell. And we too, celebrate every New Member that joins the Association. It has been ringing quite a bit over the last few years! The ringing of that bell reinforces our commitment to bringing value to the Manufacturers of Missouri and energizes us to stay engaged and connected. We truly see our name as a commitment - dedicated to Promoting, Preserving and Advancing Manufacturing.
