We are thrilled to announce that Brendan Pasley has joined the Missouri Coalition of Recovery Support Providers as our new Assistant Housing Director. Brendan comes to us with a deep-rooted passion for helping others and a steadfast commitment to community service, making him a remarkable addition to our team. In his new role, Brendan will play a crucial part in collaborating with our Housing Director, Andy Thomas. Together, they will work to ensure that recovery housing providers, both within Missouri and beyond, achieve and sustain NARR accreditation. This will involve ensuring that homes meet NARR standards and comply with all relevant regulations. Brendan will be responsible for providing expert guidance on resident care, overseeing data collection and reporting, and staying abreast of evolving regulatory requirements for recovery housing. Brendan will also focus on identifying and addressing gaps in policies and standards in relation to the Department of Mental Health and NARR guidelines. His duties will include conducting inspections, managing renewal accreditations, assisting providers with action plans to address any findings, and coordinating and scheduling accreditation reviews. The Missouri Coalition of Recovery Support Providers is pleased to announce that Brendon Steenbergen has accepted the position of Executive Director (ED). Reporting to the Board of Directors, Brendon will oversee daily operations, collaborate with the MCRSP Board to execute the strategic plan, strengthen partnerships with the Department of Mental Health, advocate for funding with state and federal legislatures and private foundations, and ensure staff development and accountability. He will serve as the principal spokesperson and liaison to the media and stakeholders, including DMH, DOC, NARR, ARCO, and Missouri State Legislatures. Brendon holds a master’s degree in Public Affairs with an Emphasis in Non-Profit Management from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He also brings extensive experience in nonprofit management and fundraising, having held director-level positions in educational institutions and foundations, with a strong track record in organizational growth and sustainability.
