We are so honored to announce that Carlos Alvarado Quesada, 48th President of Costa Rica (in office 2018-2022), will be a featured speaker at the upcoming MIT Sustainability Summit! During his presidency, Carlos Alvarado Quesada led Costa Rica's ambitious efforts to protect biodiversity and combat climate change. Under his leadership, the country banned fossil fuels and committed to becoming carbon-neutral by 2050.
