Congratulations to Ashlea Semmens, M.D., Director of the Breast Center at Monument Health, for being named the recipient of the 2024 Outstanding Young Physician Award by the South Dakota State Medical Association (SDSMA). This award is given to a physician under 40 or within the first eight years of professional practice after residency and fellowship training. The award recognizes outstanding achievements, dedication and service to the community and the SDSMA at the local, state or national levels. Additionally, congratulations to Lisa Brown, M.D., and Deepak Goyal, M.D., for being elected to the SDSMA Board of Directors for 2024-25. Dr. Goyal was elected for another term as an at-large member, and Dr. Brown has been elected as secretary-treasurer. Congratulations to all!
