My trip to Bangalore, India with Adolfo Sanchez was nothing short of extraordinary. Today is bittersweet because after two months, as the H-1B cap season comes to a close, it is finally time to return home. I want to thank the amazing staff at WeWork India, Radisson Blu and Ironhill India for making this visit an unforgettable experience. Special shoutout to Chandan, Raj and the countless rickshaw drivers who showed us the true beauty of this city. Before coming here, I had seldom travelled outside of the United States — and certainly not for such an extended period of time. Though New York City is filled with those from a myriad of backgrounds, there is nothing quite like experiencing a foreign country firsthand. Finally, I'm getting around to posting some of the highlights from my amazing stay in India with Gabriel Magill. First of all, I want to thank Morningside Evaluations & Consulting for giving me the opportunity to spend over two months in India during the cap season. I would also like to thank the staff at WeWork India, Radisson Blu, and Ironhill India, who all became like family to us during our stay. This was truly an eye-opening experience as I was able to immerse myself in a culture unlike any I have ever encountered and develop life-long relationships with members of the community in Bangalore. The experience opened my eyes to the beauty of India and traveling in general, as there is nothing like sharing culture with family and friends. Lastly, as a pool junkie, I wasn't sure how I would get my fix but I made some friends that introduced me to snooker and made India truly feel like home. Can't wait to be back!

This new article on the proposed H-1B rule discusses timing for the final rule and analyzes the comments and potential USCIS reaction to those comments. “Employers and university groups expressed uniform opposition to the ‘directly related’ language and labeling business administration a general degree.” The Trump-era proposal in the rule would narrow positions considered specialty occupations by requiring degrees be in a “directly related specific specialty.” The rule also includes new policies on work at customer locations and USCIS investigative site visits. #immigration #h1bvisa #h1b
