About us
In 1964, a trio of visionary engineers, from Admiral Rickover's Naval nuclear propulsion program, set out to form a company built around technical excellence. The three – Harry Mandil, Bob Panoff, and Ted Rockwell – completed their vision by forming MPR Associates and laying a foundation that remains today. MPR is a specialty engineering and management services firm delivering value to clients around the globe. Our engineers work in and across, multiple markets including: Power & Energy, Nuclear Technologies, Transmission & Distribution, Health & Life Sciences, and Federal. This cross-disciplinary interaction and knowledge sharing delivers optimal results. With nearly 250 employees, MPR's strongest and most valuable asset is our people, who combine technical insight with an unparalleled breadth of engineering capabilities. For almost 60 years, MPR has delivered excellence across the entire project or product life-cycle to benefit its clients and society as a whole.

I’ve had a great time participating in the 25th U.S. Women in Nuclear (U.S. WIN) conference. I know that my MPR Associates, Inc. colleagues, Suzanne McKillop, PE, Allison Sawyer, Sumi Mondal, Melissa Milstrey, Kimberly Taylor, Peter Carlone, and I enjoyed hearing from powerful industry leaders about the bright and exciting future of nuclear! Westinghouse Electric Company was a fantastic host and I thoroughly enjoyed a tour of the Waltz Mill Training Center and the new eVinci facility!

Thank you to our colleagues at X-energy for providing the DC chapter of U.S. Women in Nuclear (U.S. WIN) the opportunity to tour their new Xe-100 Advanced Small Modular Reactor Plant Support Center! The facility, which opened March 2024, represents an evolution in how nuclear operators train and will provide them with invaluable experience before they enter the field. With the ability to train up to 52 operators at one time, this new facility includes a full-scale plant control room simulator, Reactor Protection System prototype, and virtual reality experience, along with offices and classrooms. #DCWIN #nuclear
