    We are heartbroken to share the news of the passing of an Iconic AE, Bess Cadwell, a 25 time Pacesetter from Govig & Associates.  She celebrated her 28th anniversary with Govig in June, and graced the MRINetwork family at numerous events, claiming more awards than we can list but suffice to say she hit the hit Top 10 AE awards multiple times in annual categories, decade categories as both a solo producer and team producer proving that she was indeed one of a kind. She lived her motto - Be Yourself but Louder. She mastered the art of bringing light into a room and making everything she touched a bit brighter.  Producing over $20M in billings and cash-in, she made that same mark on her clients and candidates too. She will be missed by her Govig Family as well as her MRINetwork family.  RIP Bess.

    It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Bess Cadwell, who has been reunited with her beloved Joey and her furry family. For the past 28 years at Govig, she imparted her wisdom to all of us, and we have embraced one of her many mottos, "Be Yourself But Louder." An icon in the recruiting industry and the Arizona community, Bess was forceful, genuine, and unforgettable. She changed the course of many lives and the world will forever be a better place because of who she was and what she stood for. Her countless awards and vibrant personality made her a prominent figure who will be greatly missed. We will be hosting a celebration of her life this summer and will share details at a later date. Her legacy will live on in our hearts and memories. #fbomber

    The demand for leadership is not confined to designated managerial roles. Every individual, regardless of their position, can and should embody leadership qualities to foster a proactive and productive work environment, according to Forbes. But how can you demonstrate leadership without a title? For starters, embrace the fact that leadership traits are present long before an upper-management title is bestowed. The traits emerge before the title—not the other way around. Trying to ascend to a leadership role while being evaluated on your present leadership capabilities can be daunting, but you are capable of exhibiting leadership skills, behaviors and mindsets as you execute your individual contributor tasks. A shortage of dedicated #nursing schools combined with an aging workforce means more nurses are retiring while fewer are receiving the relevant qualifications. However, other factors are at work, from post-pandemic burnout to long, unrelenting shifts with poor work-life balance.     Friday Howl from the Woolf Den... This week I had the great pleasure of hearing Sir Ron Dennis, former CEO of McLaren Group speak at a Jewish Care business breakfast. A self described perfectionist, Sir Ron shared how he "simply can't give anything less than [his] best" and that "half heartedly and lukewarm are not in [his] vocabulary." The strive for excellence and ability to see his determination and drive in pure clarity was refreshing. He also spoke about the importance of leadership, not management. To lead you need a compass, the goal being to discover and maintain a true north for the business. It struck a chord. By my definition, Transformational Leadership is a combination of authenticity, transparency and the ability to be positively disruptive. Sir Ron's speech echoed that to me. What I felt most during his talk was the power of the team. Not just the drivers and cars but each person who drove McLaren forward (sorry, puns are to be expected though.) People are at the heart of what we do.
