Athlete Engineering is a multidisciplinary research collaboration between the university's academic and athletic departments to explore human performance, processes, and analysis. Our mission is to align researchers from all engineering disciplines, as well as kinesiology, sociology, and psychology researchers, with athletic practitioners such as strength and conditioning coaches, athletic trainers, and nutritionists, to enhance student-athlete safety and link human factors to performance technology.

Camp AMP - Round 1💥🤖 Yesterday, students participating in East Mississippi Community College's Camp AMP visited the AiM UP lab at the Communiversity. Students had the opportunity to learn about industrial technology and even program a collaborative robot.
Anna Grace and David visited the Toyota Health and Safety Fair to talk about Athlete Engineering and the work the team is doing to use Liquid Wire Inc. with Toyota's sealer line. The team is using wearable technology to baseline worker ergonomics looking at elbow and forearm movement patterns.
Athlete Engineering is partnering with Ingalls Shipbuilding, a Division of HII, CoolMitt, and AccelerateMS to bring new cooling technology for mitigating heat injuries within shipbuilders. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gA55AgV6
