Helping underprivileged individuals get the eyecare services they need free of cost, for a better future.

About us

AINAK is a US-based nonprofit organization focused on helping the underprivileged get free eye care services such as vision tests and prescription glasses, in partnership with local Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, and Opticians. Eye care is an important part of everyday living. In the United States, about 62 million people do not have the means to pay for eye care services or purchase prescription glasses because they do not have insurance. Lack of eye care can keep a child from performing well in school, or an employee from giving their 100% to their job. For some, it can be a choice between buying food or purchase glasses. We connect people in need with Opticians or Optometrists to receive eye exams and prescription glasses, free of cost. If you have old glasses that you don’t use anymore, please consider donating them to us! AINAK is registered as a non-profit under section 501 C3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Love your eyes ❤️ Ainak is a Silicon Valley nonprofit organization in free vision care for California. Our Mission: No child should be left behind in the classroom due to an inability of a parent or guardian to afford proper eye care. A 20/20 vision can help an individual succeed in school and gain the confidence to thrive in life. Vidya, Congratulations on being awarded the Certificate of Recognition for your outstanding work with AINAK. Your dedication to providing comprehensive eye exams and corrective eyeglasses to under-resourced children, especially in the Central Valley and Merced County, has been truly remarkable. In an area where the poverty level is high, your efforts have made a significant difference, particularly for children under the age of 8 who are in desperate need of eyeglasses. The groundwork you’ve done—visiting schools, speaking with school superintendents and nurses, and sharing AINAK's mission—has been instrumental in our success. Your commitment extends beyond just outreach; your meticulous handling of due diligence and adherence to state and federal regulations for 501(c)(3) nonprofits ensures that AINAK remains in good standing. Thank you, Vidya, for your selfless service to these children and for being a cornerstone of our mission. Your contributions have a lasting impact, and we are incredibly grateful to have you as part of the AINAK family. With heartfelt appreciation from the Team AINAK #CentralValleyschools #CaliforniaSchools #NewJerseySchools

Love Your Eyes ❤️ Celebrating 4 Years of Vision and Impact! "On Sunday, the AINAK team came together to celebrate four incredible years of serving under-resourced school children and our nonprofit partners. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the core team who has been with AINAK since the very beginning. Your unwavering dedication has brought our logo and website to life, turning my vision into a mission that drives us all. Today, we also celebrate the launch of AINAK’s free eyeglasses program in New Jersey, a testament to your hard work and commitment. Together, we’ve grown not just as an organization but as a family, welcoming new team members who share our passion and even celebrating the arrival of eight new babies, making some of us first-time mothers and grandmothers. Our team’s efforts have shaped AINAK into the respected nonprofit it is today, and we are immensely proud of the cohesive spirit that continues to propel us forward."

Love your eyes ❤️ Celebrating 4 Years of Vision and Impact! Today marks AINAK's 4th anniversary since our launch in 2020. Over the past four years, we have had the privilege of serving under-resourced school children and underserved communities across California, providing them with the gift of clear vision through our free eyeglasses service. We are deeply grateful to our all-volunteer team at AINAK, whose unwavering dedication has been the backbone of our success. Our journey wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support from California schools and our nonprofit partners who have stood by our mission to ensure that every child, regardless of their circumstances, has access to essential eye care. Today, we are excited to announce the launch of AINAK in New Jersey! With this expansion, AINAK is now proudly serving communities from coast to coast. But our mission doesn’t stop here—there’s still so much more to be done. We invite you to join us in this life-changing work. Whether by donating or volunteering your time, your support will help under-resourced children succeed in life and realize their dreams. Thank you for being a part of the AINAK family. Together, we are making a difference, one pair of glasses at a time. #AINAK #4thAnniversary #VisionForAll #CoastToCoast #NewJerseyLaunch #SupportTheMission

A 20/20 vision can help an individual succeed in school and gain the confidence to thrive in life. Prevent Blindness has once again declared August as "Children's Eye Health and Safety Month". Read the Newsweek story of a pregnant woman who went blind due wearing contact lenses in the shower due to "Acanthamoeba keratitis a relatively rare, but can be devastating. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) defines the condition as being a serious infection of the eye that can result in permanent visual impairment or blindness. This infection is caused by a microscopic, free-living amoeba, a single-celled living organism called acanthamoeba that can get into one's eye through contact lenses." Every year we receive request from Middle School nurses asking for contact lens request from their students, but the AINAK Board is hesitant to approve contact lenses for middle school students due to the hygiene and procedural requirements necessary for proper contact lens care, as improper care can harm the eyes. https://lnkd.in/gpXiPE7x AINAK is celebrating its 4th anniversary of serving those in need of eyeglasses on August 15, 2024. A 20/20 vision can help an individual succeed in school and gain the confidence to thrive in life. www.myainak.org Jasmine attended an event where she was required to wear contact lenses. As the event progressed, her vision became increasingly blurry. It got so bad that after the event, she visited an eye specialist for a checkup. She was diagnosed with corneal damage, and the specialist had to bandage her eyes. Corneal damage is scary and can be prevented. Remember to practice good hygiene: always rinse your lenses with contact lens solution, and put your contact lenses in before applying makeup. Please read Jasmine's story as published in Hindustan times https://lnkd.in/gMGTAMAf

Love your eyes ❤️ "America was not built on fear. America was built on courage, on imagination, and an unbeatable determination to do the job at hand." - Harry S. Truman Ainak is a Silicon Valley nonprofit organization in free vision care for California. Our Mission: No child should be left behind in the classroom due to an inability of a parent or guardian to afford proper eye care. A 20/20 vision can help an individual succeed in school and gain the confidence to thrive in life. www.myainak.org Our donor, a Dadi (grandmother) from New Jersey, made a generous donation to AINAK and its mission on the occasion of the birthday of her twin grandkids, a boy and a girl. In a beautiful coincidence, her donation was used to provide vision care for another pair of Bay Area twins, a boy and a girl, who were in need of eyeglasses. Thanks to her generosity, these children received much-needed eye exams and corrective eyeglasses, greatly improving their quality of life and their ability to succeed in school. As we celebrate our 248th Independence Day this July 4th, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dadi and all our donors who help make such impactful differences in the lives of those we serve. #donors #nonprofit #californiaschools #newjerseyschools #visioncare
