Before our half-day strategy session, the NACD Nashville Advisory Board hosted a special dinner to celebrate our chapter's remarkable achievements over the past two years. This gathering was an opportunity to recognize our founding members - Jan Babiak, gregory sandfort, Kimberley Holleman, Teresa Sebastian, NACD.DC, and in particular, Turney Stevens, whose vision and leadership were instrumental in launching the Nashville chapter. With the support of the #NACD senior leadership team, Turney's contributions have left an indelible mark on our community. In his honor, Turney was presented with a gold statue and an original poem, celebrating his extraordinary legacy.

The NACD Nashville Advisory Board gathered for a half-day strategy retreat on Thursday, August 15, at the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. With a theme of “Focused Forward,” the meeting emphasized our chapter’s commitment to enhancing membership engagement through innovative programming designed to empower directors and transform boards. The session, moderated by Julie Pitts, Senior Director, Chapter Network at NACD (National Association of Corporate Directors), was led by Chapter President Teresa Sebastian, NACD.DC, Chapter Chair-Elect Ed Magee, Membership Chair Mandy McCain, NACD.DC, and Program Chair William "Bill" Jones, NACD.DC. We’re also thrilled to welcome Steve Seger as our new Marketing Chair, whose expertise will be invaluable as we continue to elevate our chapter's impact.
