  • Last week, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) held their annual bilateral meeting in Hamilton, Bermuda, to discuss strategic priorities on issues of mutual regulatory interest. Participants from NAIC leadership included President and Connecticut Insurance Department Commissioner Andrew N. Mais, President-Elect and North Dakota Insurance Department Commissioner Jon Godfread, and International Insurance Relations (G) Committee Chair and Nebraska Department of Insurance Director Eric Dunning. Each side provided insights into their respective jurisdictions on several topics, including climate risk and resiliency, recent market developments, private equity ownership, and various initiatives at international standard-setting bodies.   • The NAIC has released the "Auto Insurance Database Average Premium Supplement" for 2022. The supplement provides written premium and exposure data for calendar years 2018–2022. The NAIC created the supplement to release the written premium and exposure data quicker than the release of the full "Auto Insurance Database Report" timeline allows. The tables in the "Auto Insurance Database Average Premium Supplement" will also be included in the full "Auto Insurance Database Report 2021–2022," which will be released later this year.
