Several of our friends and community partners have gotten together to host an amazing event to benefit our life-changing programs, and we are so grateful!‼️ @briamethod, in partnership with @bradfox5k, is proud to announce the first-ever Grind for the Mind charity run at Warminster Community Park on Sunday, September 22nd, at 8am. Challenge your physical and mental strength by running and engaging with a series of fitness exercises along the way! Plus, every stride benefits @namibucks, a local mental health organization in Bucks County. All registrants will receive a Grind for the Mind T-shirt and get to run alongside Bria Method members, trainers, and members of the community. Packet pickup will be at the Bria Method studio the week of Monday, September 16th to Saturday, September 21st during operating hours. Thank you to Bristol Borough for utilizing NAMI's mental health education in your summer programs! Our Youth Programs Director, Mia Scocozzo, and NAMI MAN helped students in Bristol Borough learn how to name their feelings, differentiate between emotions, and practice healthy coping skills to facilitate age-appropriate, proactive conversations about mental health with our Small Talk education program. As you can see, we’ve certified these students as mental health superheroes, just like Mia and @nami.man! We are proud to work with the dedicated staff and administration at BBSD to educate, support, and improve the lives of young people while promoting a stigma-free community in Bristol Borough. NAMI Bucks County's "Small Talk" is an engaging 30 to 45-minute presentation that supports students’ social and emotional development for better learning in Kindergarten through 6th grade classrooms.
