Napa State Hospital Volunteer Community Advisory Board

In honor of mental health awareness month, please support Napa State Hospital patients' birthday funds - they receive $5 on their birthday month. Many are forgotten, but this tiny gift helps them feel special and supports their treatment plans. Let's eat! 

Napa State Hospital Volunteer Community Advisory Board was happy to support bringing Cody Feiler to speak and present to the Rehab Therapists during their annual retreat which educated them about how art and music therapies were useful for Cody's recovery during and after psychosis. He was also able to present to current patients at NSH. Cody is an artist, educator and peer mental health provider with lived experience and recovery from schizophrenia. Cody is a former patient at Napa State Hospital, ConRep and was restored to sanity in 2022. Cody shares his journey of recovery through a series of 25 paintings and oral narrative to lend insight into the nature of these experiences.
