Last night, NASDDDS staff were honored to join in the celebration of the 40-year anniversary of the HCBS conference. We were so thrilled to join our federal partners at CMS and ACL and to see several of our NASDDDS members this week! The Link Center Shared Learning Groups are an opportunity to dive into important topics and tap into your expertise and experiences related to people with cognitive disabilities, including I/DD, brain injury, and mental health conditions. These meetings will be led by members of the Link Center Steering Committee and project partners. Please join the center for their next Shared Learning Group series titled, “Supporting The Whole Person” on August 27th and 28th. People with co-occurring conditions often need person-centered, whole person care that requires physical, behavioral, emotional, mental health, and social support resources that aim to improve well-being and outcomes. This topic group will explore personal experiences, models, strategies, practices, and resources that embrace a whole person approach to support. There are four sessions on the same topic for different target audiences. Please register for the session most relevant to you.
