Preserving Ojibwe culture and language by providing fun and interactive games for youth and families.

About us

Ojibwe culture is eroding away. Our language and traditions are being lost to time, but we cannot let that happen. Nashke Native Games addresses this critical issue by offering products and services that are fun, educational, and centered on uplifting the Native community while celebrating Ojibwe culture and heritage. As a social enterprise, we also donate 50% of profits to Native communities and scholarships. We envision a future where Ojibwe culture isn’t forgotten, it’s celebrated.

Exciting News from Nashke Games! We are honored to be selected as one of three finalists in the Impact Venture Division for the Minnesota Cup! We have a 1 in 3 chance of being the Division Winner, an award that comes with $25,000 and a chance to compete for an additional $50,000 grand prize in September. We had a fantastic time presenting Nashke Games at the division showcase and look forward to presenting again at the end of this month to see if we advance again! We ended July with two amazing events! We kicked off by joining the Minnesota Department of Education at Mille Lacs for their inaugural “Tribal Relations/Fundamentals of American Indian Education” training. It was a blast sharing our games with so many educators. A big Miigwech to MDE for their support and the invite! We then headed to Miskwaagamiiwi-Zaagaiganing (Red Lake) for their 2nd Annual July Extravaganza at the Cut Off. It’s been an honor to be part of this event again, and we had an amazing time on the beach with so many Red Lakers. I also appreciate all your amazing support over the last year! We have some new relationships forming in August that we are so excited about, can’t wait to share them out later in the month. Stay tuned:)

Given our deep commitment to supporting Native youth, we're thrilled to announce the establishment of a new annual scholarship that we'll be awarding each summer. The DAVID SAM scholarship will be awarded annually to a Native American graduating senior within a Minnesota American Indian Education Program who is planning to pursue post-secondary education and/or training program (trades). The late David Sam (Amik) is Anishinaabe from Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe. David was a remarkable individual—a gifted leader, teacher, spiritual advisor, and language instructor. He was also an avid outdoorsman and a revered Makizinataagewin instructor. Nashke Games collaborated closely with David on developing our Makizinataagewin and Bagese games. His contribution remains integral to the work we continue to do today. We are honored to offer a scholarship in his memory. This scholarship will be for $500. Please fill out the attached form by June 30th Scholarship will be awarded August 1. To celebrate this inaugural scholarship, we are excited to announce that we will not only offer one David Sam Scholarship but will also leverage social media to offer a second scholarship based on community support. For every like this post receives, we will contribute $5, and for every share, we will contribute $10, up to $500 for a second David Sam Scholarship this year. Please share this with any Native graduating senior you may know! https://lnkd.in/gpzJkMhA #scholarship #nativeyouth #minnesota #indianeducation
