Which probiotic is best for you? Right now, we don’t know. Even though research has shown that individuals may respond differently to the same probiotic, we don’t fully understand the reasons why. But in the future, it may be possible to identify the people most likely to benefit from specific probiotics and use that knowledge to develop tailored treatments. In a new blog post, Dr. Hye-Sook Kim of our Division of Extramural Research discusses two funding opportunities from The National Institutes of Health (NIH) for research to advance scientific understanding in this area. https://go.nih.gov/ZaMhXFV #Probiotics #PrecisionMedicine #PersonalizedMedicine #ResearchFunding #HealthResearch

#DYK, populations that experience health disparities are frequently underrepresented in spine pain clinical trials? In a recent analysis conducted by researchers from the University of Minnesota and North Dakota State University data was evaluated from eight randomized controlled trials of spinal manipulation for chronic back or neck pain. Findings showed significant underrepresentation of health disparity populations, including racial and ethnic minority groups, less educated individuals, and the unemployed.
