The NDSC Board is pleased to announce our next Executive Director, Jim Hudson, M.A., CFRE. Jim comes to the NDSC from the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati, where he has served as their executive director since 2012. Over the past decade, Jim’s expertise in leadership and development led to the expansion of several excellent supports, resources, and overall experiences for individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the broader community. “We are welcoming Jim at a pivotal time for individuals with Down syndrome. His mission-focused leadership style will further propel the NDSC in its commitment to providing information, advocacy, and support concerning all aspects of life for individuals with Down syndrome. As we prepare to gather in Phoenix, AZ, for the 52nd Annual NDSC Convention, please join the NDSC in welcoming Jim Hudson as our next executive director.” - Sean Smith, NDSC President Jim will begin the position of NDSC Executive Director on June 19, 2024. The vision of the NDSC is a world with equal rights and opportunities for people with Down syndrome.
About us
We are the National Down Syndrome Congress, known around the world as NDSC. We are the leading national resource of support and information for anyone touched by or seeking to learn about Down syndrome, from the moment of prenatal diagnosis through adulthood. NDSC is a member-sustained non-profit organization, composed of parents, self-advocates, siblings, grandparents, educators, physicians, therapists, other professionals, friends, and supporters. Our purpose is to promote the interests of people with Down syndrome and their families through advocacy, public awareness, and information. Often, a family’s first interaction with the NDSC comes from a phone call as a new or expectant parent. This can begin a lifelong relationship with the NDSC, as our programs and resources are available to individuals with Down syndrome and their families at every step of the way. Our services are available in both English and Spanish.
