The NLN supports the Stop Nurse Shortages Act, which would create a grant program to help nursing schools create, expand, or support accelerated nursing degree programs. To increase the number of graduating nurses through these programs, nursing schools would be able to use grants to hire and retain faculty and preceptors, increase the number of clinical trainings sites, and offer financial assistance to students.

Facilitating conversations about a culturally competent and ethically sound approach to care is essential to a student’s professional formation." In Nursing Education Perspectives, NLN Chair Dr. Patricia Sharpnack reflects on our groundbreaking learning course created together with American Nurses Association on teaching ethics in nursing education.
