Meet a #RealPorkScholar, Molly Kroeger! Molly is obtaining her PhD in Immunobiology from Iowa State University. Her current studies focus on immunology of Porcine Circovirus Type 2 and 3 infection. Upon her graduation, Molly will work as a Microbiologist in the North American Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) Vaccine Bank. "I strive to be engaged with the pork industry in three capacities: working in animal health, educating the general public, and volunteering in high school agriculture activities. I am excited to transfer and utilize the industry insight, connections with industry professionals, and advocacy skills gained through this fellowship to better swine health and to share the story of pig farming with consumers."
