Personnel from the H-53 Heavy Lift Helicopters Program Office (PMA-261) and their family members, led by Col. Kate Fleeger, gather in front of a CH-53E Super Stallion at NAS Patuxent River to record a birthday greeting to be used in October for the 249th birthday of the U.S. Navy. Members of the program office had assembled for a family open house and hangar tour.

In July 2024, the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) Aircraft Carrier went to sea with the Simulation at Sea (S@S) Training Suite onboard. S@S is a rapid capability fielding demonstration that integrates F/A-18, E-2D and F-35 training simulators into a common backbone and will provide game changing integrated Air Wing training and mission rehearsal while CVN-72/CVW-9 is at sea. There were numerous organizations that came together to achieve this objective. A new CH-53K King Stallion mixed-reality trainer completed Test Readiness Review on July 18 and was declared Ready for Training on July 22. The Advanced Aircrew Training Device (AATD) will now enter Joint Final Test as the final step prior to beginning CH-53K pilot training. The Heavy Lift Helicopters Program Office (PMA-261) provides heavy lift capabilities and readiness for the warfighter.

BGen Walsh held executive meetings and was given a plant factory and hangar tour at the Stratford, CT Sikorsky facility. Walsh continues to expand his customer engagements during his first months at #PEOA. Presidential Helicopters Program Office and the #MarineCorps accepted delivery of the final VH-92A Patriot helicopter in August for a total inventory of 23 aircraft. This milestone was made possible by the great artisans from #Government and #Industry who provide white-glove service for a no-fail mission.
