  • As Founder and Creator of the heavens and the earth and all that is in them, God holds the rights to all of it. That includes even us – our bodies, our minds, and our lives. Even when we had become slaves to sin, he redeemed us, paying with his Son's life. We are doubly owned. REFLECT: Whose money do we use to pay our bills, buy gifts at Christmas, and give to charity? How would it impact our lives if we believed nothing we have is ours and it's all really God's? PRAY: Father, we recognize you as Creator and Ruler of the heavens and the earth and everything in them. Help us to view everything we have as yours and to trust you to take care of us.

  • Yesterday, NCF Southwest was pleased to host our inaugural Plan to Give conference. The conference was a a time of learning and wisdom with many takeaways. Bob Doll, CFA shared his insightful 2024 Economic & Investment Outlook. Jeff Waldron discussed the largest wealth transfer in history, and Paul Reardon and Randy Huston led our panel discussion on Navigating Trusts. Special than you to our presenting sponsors, Crossmark Global Investments, Inc. and Kingdom Advisors. • Every morning, we wake up loved by a good God who wants what's best for us. Though he owns everything, and needs nothing from us, he's created us for a purpose: to bear his image. And the great power of giving, for givers, is that it plays an important part in transforming us into the image of Christ, bringing us more to life in our God-given purpose.

  • Support Needed: Alhambra Beloved Community Church On August 25, the Alhambra Beloved Community Church in Phoenix was devastated by a fire. While fortunately no one was injured, the blaze caused severe damage to The Ark, the church's multi-purpose space, and adjacent classrooms. Alhambra Beloved Community Church serves a vital role in central Phoenix, an area heavily impacted by poverty, violence, sex trafficking, homelessness, and a large refugee population. The Ark is integral to their mission, offering crucial support through outreach programs and collaborations with local nonprofits and schools. Our NCF Southwest team and the broader Phoenix community are deeply saddened by this loss. We invite you to join us in sending thoughts and prayers to the Alhambra Beloved Community and all those affected. If you feel moved to provide financial support, donations can be made directly through their website at https://lnkd.in/gTHbnN8p. Thank you for your support during this challenging time.

  • The care that God took in creation – to give us exactly what we needed and the ability to enjoy it – communicates unimaginable love and generosity. And after we mishandled that first gift, he gave his Son, the greatest gift history has ever witnessed. Beyond love and generosity, that gift also demonstrated God's justice, mercy, and enduring trustworthiness to provide everything we need for life and godliness. When we trust this to be true, it is counted to us as righteousness. REFLECT: How do we, personally, know God is good? PRAY: Lord, thank you for your goodness. Thank you for sending your Son, so we can know what you are like and how much you love us. Help us to live confident of this truth.

  • Did you know that half of women in the U.S. are single due to being widowed, divorced, or having never married? If you, as a charity leader can identify and speak to the unique needs of women, the opportunity exists for you to empower their giving, legacy planning, and finish-line focus in dramatic ways. Legacy may mean something entirely different to them than it did to their parents or their spouses. In this webinar, we'll consider what it looks like for charities to serve women givers with greater intentionality and understanding – especially engaging those who are going it alone.
