About us
Nebraska Furniture Mart, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, is the largest home furnishing store in North America selling furniture, flooring, appliances and electronics. NFM was founded in 1937 by Mrs. B (Rose Blumkin) in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1983, Mrs. B sold a majority interest to Berkshire Hathaway. NFM now has four stores, located in Omaha, Nebraska, Kansas City, Kansas, Des Moines, Iowa and The Colony, Texas.

Our very own Employee Resource Group, NFM Heroes, came together to raise awareness for deployed NFM teammates and their families with the sale of NFM R.E.D. (Remember Everyone Deployed) shirts. 649 shirts were sold this time around, making that a total of 1,617 staff members showing their support by wearing R.E.D. shirts in the past year!
