Providing innovative financing and market solutions to accelerate clean energy in the state

About us

The Nevada Clean Energy Fund (NCEF) is a non-profit organization created in 2017 by state legislation. NCEF’s mandate is to increase financing for clean energy projects in Nevada in a way that improves quality of life for Nevadans, reduces energy costs, creates jobs, and meaningfully addresses climate change. Clean energy projects can include renewable energy, energy efficiency, transportation electrification, and vehicle alternative fuels. NCEF was incubated over the course of four years with the support of the Coalition for Green Capital (CGC) and the NCEF Board of Directors, consisting of state government officials and nominees representing labor and local community interests from across the state. NCEF formally launched in early 2022.

  • 🚍 We’re excited to kick off our Clean School Bus initiative visiting six Nevada school districts! Electric school buses offer numerous benefits, including lower maintenance and fuel costs, healthier air for our children, and better performance compared to diesel and propane buses. Our team also provides free technical support to guide school districts through the funding process, evaluate different bus and charging options, and develop comprehensive implementation plans. Together, we’re driving Nevada toward a cleaner, greener future for our students! #NCEF #CleanSchoolBus #Nevada #CleanEnergy

  • EPA Administrator Michael S. Regan joined NCEF at the Desert Breeze Recreational Center in Las Vegas to celebrate Nevada’s $156 million award for the Solar for All program, made possible by the Inflation Reduction Act. This vital program will benefit low-income and marginalized communities often overlooked in clean energy projects. Congresswoman Susie Lee and Martha Guzman, the regional administrator, were also present, along with key partners who helped secure these funds. Together, we’re excited to design and implement this transformative initiative. #SolarforAll

  • NCEF joined U.S. Secretary of Energy Granholm, Rep. Horsford, and homeowners from Las Vegas on a panel to discuss strategies for reducing energy bills. We had the opportunity to meet the Howie family and talk about the benefits of a home energy audit, which is an excellent first step toward identifying upgrades that can lead to significant savings. We're committed to helping families across Nevada make their homes more energy-efficient and reduce their energy costs. #SolarForAll #CleanEnergy
