Nevada County is hiring a Chief Fiscal/Administrative Officer (CFAO) Salary: $120,367.56 - $146,944.08 Annually The CFAO position is critical to the success of the County's Health & Human Services Agency whose mission is to protect lives, promote health and wellness, and provide support and services to help Nevada County residents meet their basic needs. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge and experience with grants, is a collaborative leader and excellent communicator, has a track record of successful project management, and wants to have a positive impact in the community. This position is crafted for individuals who have a Bachelor's degree with major course work in business, accounting, or a related field plus three years of administrative and fiscal management experience at the level of an Administrative Services Officer with the County of Nevada. Alternately, candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 10 years of responsible experience in fiscal and administrative management at a level comparable to Administrative Services Officer with the County of Nevada will also qualify. Ninety-two Nevada County employees were honored on Feb. 20 by the Board of Supervisors for reaching service milestones of 5, 10, 15, 20, or 25 years. Two employees were honored for 25 years of service: Krista Pyzer, a clerk-recorder assistant, and Jane Leedy, an eligibility supervisor. "I’m grateful that when I have had changes in my life, my job was a constant,” said Pyzer. “After 25 years, I still enjoy the work and the people."
