The Nebraska Department of Veterans' Affairs plays a vital roll in providing help to Veteran's and their families when applying for benefits at the state and federal level. This is done at no cost to the Veteran's or their families, it is a 100% free service! NDVA has state veterans' homes which offer top-of-the-line assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care for the men and women who have served our country, as well as eligible family members 🎖️ In 2023 the NDVA received the VA's Abraham Lincoln Pillar of Excellence Award for the virtual claims clinic initiative. 🎖️Last year NDVA also provided help to almost 1.5 million claims from Veterans and their families! 🎖️Across all Nebraska Veterans Homes--Kearney, Bellevue, Norfolk, and Scottsbluff-- There are over 600 beds for Veterans in need of care. And they are always looking to grow and expand to be able to serve more Veterans. 🎖️Nebraska also honors its Veterans by giving them the final resting place they they are owed. In Alliance sits a 20 acre cemetery for Nebraska Veterans final resting place. Memorial Services are offered, with full military funeral honors, for all veterans.
