The mission of the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services is to help sustain a high quality of life for all citizens by protecting and restoring the environment and public health in New Hampshire. Since 2022, NHDES Watershed Management Specialist Polly Crocker has been working with UNH on the New Hampshire Stream Crossing Replacement Prioritization Project. Using funds from the American Rescue Plan Act, this project aims to pilot a stakeholder-informed model that prioritizes stream crossing replacement in order to provide better road safety, ecosystem restoration, aquatic organism passage, climate resiliency and more. Air Permitting intern Seth Aumann joined the Small Business Technical Assistance Program (SBTAP) on a site visit to an auto restoration shop. SBTAP helped with a hazardous waste form. The owner’s truck, which he has owned since 1969, is a 1953 Ford F250 and has won numerous awards. Other projects in his shop are a 1974 BMW 2002 Baur and a 1966 GTO. Sometimes a day in the field is also a fun day looking at restored vehicles! #smallbusinessassistance #sbtap
