Exciting things are happening this summer in our history-rich state. First constructed in the 1700s, The Stockton Inn started as a private residence before it was renovated in 1832 and turned into a bar that was called the Farmer’s Bar and later the Old Town Bar. The space operated as a speakeasy called Colligan’s Stockton Inn during Prohibition. The Colligan family owned the space until 1983, when it was sold and renamed The Stockton Inn. The Inn has been vacant for seven years, but this centuries-old building is getting a new life this summer as an Italian restaurant, tavern, and charming hotel. #VisitNJ Read on for more.
