To show appreciation for our employees, we held a picnic at our Watertown facility, which included food from City Dawgz and Jodi’s Dairy Barn. Local leaders were in attendance to spend time socializing with employees and competing in Cornhole and inflatable axe throwing. Everyone had a great time, and it was nice to enjoy the sunshine with our teams.

New York Air Brake is an international supplier of heavy-haul freight braking systems worldwide. Jocelyn spent time working on projects in support of our International Sales, which gave her knowledge and skills that she will use while pursuing her business administration degree.

Our interns work in all areas of business: manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, finance, and testing. They bring enthusiasm and new ideas for projects they are assigned, we all benefit from their contributions!

The intern class of 2024 has done some amazing work this year, interns bring a level of excitement to the work the do and the teams the work with.

There is ART in everything even in an engineering/manufacturing company! Kambylle has a unique background; she has proven that her artistic background was a huge asset when developing and documenting processes and flow charts. She learned a lot about how to use her talents in the professional world, and we have beautiful documentation!

The New York Air Brake Watertown Interns participated in our Annual Co-Op Cares event, they provided over 100 man-hours of effort repainting the entire Watertown YMCA Basketball Court and gymnastics viewing hallway—two coats each! In addition to trash pickup, and gardening clean-up. It was very impactful and much appreciated by the YMCA staff, Board, and members!

Internship programs allow current employees to mentor future leaders in the field, and it can promote a healthy work culture and build company morale. 

When participating in an internship program, interns gain professional development, hard and soft skill development, and academic advancement. We enjoy providing this worthwhile opportunity for students.

Interns boost productivity by assisting with daily tasks, providing project support, and completing specific projects. We value having interns on our teams; they bring a passion for learning and inspire us to learn new ways of conducting work!
