It was a great morning doing what we love!
Our Emerging Leaders United (ELU) members have been busy making a difference in our community this week! They partnered with New Castle Lawn & Landscape for their Culinary Conservation event at Safe Berks , where they beautified the property and prepared meals for the staff and residents. Additionally, our members teamed up with the Youth Volunteer Corps of Reading to assemble back-to-school kits and label over 1,300 books for our Ready.Set.READ! initiative. Thanks to their efforts, we packaged 60 bags with school supplies and heartfelt notes for students in the Reading School District. Want to learn more about ELU? Visit their website to see upcoming events and to learn how to become a member. https://lnkd.in/ds7HbQGa

Yesterday, Brad Stephenson joined other Vistage Worldwide, Inc. Member Excellence Award winners that were selected to represent the Vistage community at Vistage on the Hill, an in-person event with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The day featured several U.S. Chamber of Commerce policy experts presenting on key issues including small business policy, international policy and more, followed by discussion and real-world insights from attending Vistage members. After the briefings there was an exclusive behind-the-scenes D.C. experience at an iconic location.

A very thoughtful gift from Vistage Worldwide, Inc. I am in Washington DC to meet with fellow Vistage award winners and to meet with the U.S. Chamber to discuss small business and to tell them what small to midsize businesses need. Tonight was a great start with a wonderful meal and lots of getting to know each other. Can’t wait for tomorrow!#Vistageonthehill

New Castle is our name and brainstorming is our game! The production supervisors met at the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance office yesterday for their quarterly meeting where they used the well known #EOS model from Traction to guide the meeting. As a company, every team holds these quarterly meetings to help plan and strategize about the future. They left inspired with key takeaways and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

How can we help you? When it comes to specialized tree care and maintaining the health of trees on your property at home, place of employment or campus, it’s crucial to entrust the job to a qualified professional. That’s where Andy Auchenbach, the local expert arborist at New Castle Tree Service, comes into the picture. With an impressive array of credentials and a passion for arboriculture, Andy is the go-to person for all your tree-related needs in our service areas which include Berks, Lancaster, Chester, Montgomery, Bucks and Lehigh counties. Andy Auchenbach brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role as an arborist. He holds a Forest Technology degree from the esteemed Pennsylvania College of Technology that formed the foundation and laid the groundwork for his career in arboriculture, enabling him to understand the intricacies of tree biology, forest management, and sustainable practices. To further enhance his skills and keep up with the latest industry advancements, Andy has actively pursued additional coursework. He has completed training with the Pennsylvania State University Cooperative Extension, the Morris Arboretum, and the International Society of Arboriculture. These specialized courses have honed his skills and knowledge making him exceptionally proficient in handling all complexities of specialized tree care. One of Andy’s notable certifications is his designation as a Certified Tree Risk Assessor. This certification showcases his expertise in assessing and mitigating potential risks associated with trees. When researching arborists, it’s crucial to look for this level of certification, as it ensures a high level of competence and proficiency in tree risk management. In addition, Andy has undergone Basic Wild Land Firefighting training (PA-130) and holds an Oregon Chainsaw Certification. These qualifications further demonstrate his commitment to safety, as he can effectively manage potential hazards while working on trees or in challenging environments. https://lnkd.in/ecAyWepT

Congratulations to Andy Auchenbach along with the rest of the individuals who graduated earlier today from the United Way of Berks County’s Leadership Berks program. It’s an incredible program that promotes servant leadership in our community. Berks County is fortunate to have this ambitious group of changemakers who are ready to make an impact in our community!

Partnerships like this in our community help provide purpose to our mission.
Connections truly do work! I am grateful to the DYNAMIC DUO: Lori Stoudt and Kathleen Stone of Connections Work for connecting Commute PA with Dan Marshall of New Castle Lawn & Landscape so he could learn how our program assists with recruitment, retention and sustainability! What is great is their culture wants to help those employees who face transportation challenges so our team member, Laura Heilman, explained the resources we offer! There is exceptional leadership in Berks County...employers who want to ensure their workforce is "connected" with the resources they need...together we deliver a better world! #goinggreensavesgreen
