Join us in welcoming back our teammate Leah Stahmann, PE who returned last month from a reforestation and biodiversity trip to Costa Rica! For the past year she has been working with the KATIE ADAMSON CONSERVATION FUND in developing a partnership with a community in Bijagua, Costa Rica. During this trip her team planted 1,184 trees of 35 species with 30 kids from the community, creating a wildlife corridor through previous cow pasture. They also held nature focused community events with the kids all week inspiring appreciation for and investment in their local flora and fauna.   Climate change is not all about tech – biodiversity is a vital part of the solution! In under eight years, cell ag at Tufts has gone from being a fringe project to a concerted effort of 90+ people from the undergraduate to faculty level working on cultivated meat. Now, we're looking to expand our expertise and ability to support the field. We’re especially interested in applicants with backgrounds in sensory, nutritional, and techno-economic analysis in the context of sustainability, cell engineering, bioprocess engineering, artificial intelligence, and tissue systems related to experimental or computational approaches.
