Access to grid data is critical for developers to make informed project decisions. To foster improvements in interconnection data transparency, the DOE's Interconnection Innovation e-Xchange (i2X) is hosting a virtual Solution e-Xchange meeting: Possibilities to Improve Interconnection Data Access & Transparency July 18, 2024 | 1 pm ET Nira Energy's Head of Transmission, Andrew Martin, will share his insights on the benefits of improved data access and greater reproducibility of ISO study processes, such as more efficiently running studies with higher accuracy, resulting in greater clarity when developing projects. Great article from pv magazine USA covering the Interconnection panel at the recent #Infocastsummit! Nira's Andrew Martin advocated for #reproducible study processes. Reproducibility builds on the requirements of FERC 845 and ensures that transmission planners across utilities, ISOs, and other industry stakeholders can align and better leverage software to automate repetitive tasks. Software that automates transmission planning studies is exactly what Nira's been working on for the last 3 years - and we've proudly supported > 300 GW of #generationinterconnection requests across the US. "Transmission providers and utilities should have a goal of communicating an interconnection study process that is reproducible. Once there’s a reproducible process...then the market can continue to build upon that reproducibility by developing software....we should strive to get to a place where transmission planning engineers are not needing to do repetitive tasks.”

We are so thrilled to be named a BloombergNEF Pioneers Finalist! BNEF has identified leading technologies that are “Relieving bottlenecks in the deployment of clean power”. We are honored to be recognized and would also like to congratulate the other finalists. At Nira, we offer software to inform how renewable developers make decisions about where to site new projects as well as analyzing projects active in an interconnection queue. Our software helps developers move faster and make more informed choices – ultimately increasing the success rate of the interconnection queue. This means quicker and lower-cost decarbonization for the US electric grid. #BNEFPioneer #energytransition #transmission

As #COP28UAE / #COP28 begins today, there are serious obstacles to meeting the goals of the summit. We’ve certainly made strides in enabling an #energytransition to a decarbonized society, but to meet the goals outlined by the UN, we have to move much, much faster. According to our partners at AES, "Nira has changed the game for (project) prospecting.” We’re working with AES and 50+ of the world’s leading developers to dramatically accelerate a path to interconnection through our comprehensive map-based software that shows available transmission capacity at any substation in real time. It’s our hope that that work can help us all meet climate goals much sooner. #climatecrisis #climateaction https://lnkd.in/dR33QbCy
