The 19th Palermo-Monte Carlo offshore regatta has reached its conclusion, with North Sails powering the top contenders to impressive finishes. Blackjack 100, of the Dutch owner Remon Vos and skippered by Tristan Le Brun, set a new course record, crossing the finish line first to claim Line Honours in an impressive time of just under 48 hours. Brion Erharth’s Lucky, skippered by Stuart Wilson, followed closely behind, also breaking the previous record and securing first place on corrected time to win the Maxi division. Balthazar, owned by Louis Balcaen, with renowned ocean navigator and North expert Bouwe Bekking onboard, completed the 542-mile course in approximately 56 hours, completing the Maxi podium. Other notable North-powered victories include Be Wild, the Swan 42 owned by Renzo Grottesi, who led the fleet in corrected time, finishing the race in 75 hours and 10 minutes, and topping the ORC division.
