🚨 Big Paid Media News Alert: #Amazon & #Google are introducing new fees in Canada! 🤑 Amazon: Starting August 15, 2024, Amazon's Regulatory Advertising Fees will apply to ads served in Canada. These fees have already hit ads in France, Italy, Spain, the UK, Austria, and Turkey. For marketers in Turkey and the UK, these fees might apply regardless of where your ads show up — This is all due to new Digital Services Taxes and other regulations. 🤑 Google: Starting October 1, 2024, Google will implement a 2.5% surcharge for ads served in Canada via Display & Video 360. Look out for the "Canada DST Fee" on your invoices — This fee applies only to media costs, not platform or data fees. Google is taking this action to comply with local revenue-sharing laws.
